We took a break for turkey-day-after syndrome, but now Final Cut Fridays are back! This time with a cool QuickTip for creating realistic water animation in Final Cut and/or After Effects.
Red Giant QuickTip #24: Working with Psunami presets in FCP
In this tutorial, Apple Certified Master Trainer, Simon Walker, shows you how to get fast and highly-realistic results, by working with and building from the free presets that ship within Red Giant Software’s Psunami, a plug-in designed to create realistic ocean water and other effects. This tutorial is great for Final Cut Pro and After Effects alike.

Psunami is an impressive plug-in. Nice tutorial.
I wondered if it was possible, with a little tweaking, to render Stereo3D animations with it.Here’s my first attempt:

It needs a lot more IA, and the dark sea colors don’t help with viewing it in anaglyph. But it’s a promising start. Maybe Red Giant could think about including some 3D tools?
