We recently got this from our friend Todd Kopriva at Adobe:
The After Effects CS6 (11.0.1) update includes some major fixes for caching bugs that are especially relevant to users of some plug-ins.
We strongly recommend you update. Here’s why:
- Light aware effects will now update properly when making changes to AE lights.
- Orthographic camera views will now render properly in effects that use them.
Not sure what that means to you? Well, among other things, it will fix issues that have shown up in:
- Trapcode Particular
- Trapcode Form
- Trapcode Lux
- Knoll 3D flare
If you have any of these plug-ins, updating to After Effects 11.0.1 is critical for them to work properly. Again, we strongly recommend you do that as soon as you can.
