User Experience/Web Designer

Red Giant is looking for a User Experience Designer with a proven track record of outstanding conceptual design, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design skills. You will be responsible for the redesign of our store and shopping cart experience and will be using both your user interaction and design skills as you build out workflows, wireframes and final visual design. You must have the ability to successfully collaborate with other designers, product managers, and engineers to develop innovative, user-friendly and intuitive workflows that adhere to and help create an exciting and productive shopping cart experience. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, absolute comfort working with HTML and CSS, excellent visual design skills, great technical know-how, and proven expertise in designing for the Web.

This is a temporary contract position with opportunities for a permanent position within Red Giant Software.  We are looking for someone based in Portland, OR.

Responsibilities:

Delivering UI wireframes and design concepts
• Delivering final visual designs, along with HTML and CSS

Requirements:

• Solid academic background in human-computer interaction or related field.
• Proven record of designing usable web-based interfaces with technical skills around HTML and JavaScript.
Strong, clean visual design sense.
• Experience with ecommerce sites and design strongly preferred
Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiar with RG Products is a bonus
