Q: What comes with my purchase of PluralEyes 3 for Mac?
A: You get a lot with your purchase of PluralEyes 3, and it is delivered in a couple of parts. Our current release of PluralEyes 3 supports the Mac OS. We will release a free update for the Windows soon. For added support, we’ve also included PluralEyes 2 and DualEyes, the original syncing products.


Q: What does the Mac version support?
A: The Mac version of PluralEyes 3 is available immediately. This release runs in OS 10.7.5 (Lion) and OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion). PluralEyes 3 for Mac can import/export content directly to Apple Final Cut Pro, FCP X and Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and exports media clips for use in other editing platforms. 


Q: Will PluralEyes 3 support Windows?
A: Yes! The Windows version is in development, and will be a free update to PluralEyes 3 customers. Your current purchase also includes PluralEyes 2 and DualEyes, the original tools that support Mac, Windows and all NLEs. If you are new to PluralEyes — and working on Windows — this gives you instant access to the freedom of syncing.

Q: When will the Windows version be released?

Q: Will I need to purchase updates to PluralEyes 3 when support for Windows or new features become available?

Q: Do I qualify for an upgrade to PluralEyes 3 if I own PluralEyes 2 or DualEyes?
A: Yes, if you own any version of PluralEyes 2 or DualEyes, you qualify for a $79 upgrade! All you need is your original Singular Software license number. To upgrade, please click here

Q: I’d like to upgrade, but I lost my Singular Software license key. Where can I look that up?
A: Most license keys can be located by using the License Manager that shipped with PluralEyes 2 and DualEyes. To learn more about the License Manager, please read this FAQ. If you still can’t find your license key, we’re here to help. Please fill out a Support case here.

Q: What host applications does PluralEyes 3 support?
A: PluralEyes 3 is a standalone application that does not require a host application. You have the option to export synchronized content as media files that are compatible with any NLE. You can also import/export synced content directly into Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro. We will add direct export to other NLEs in an upcoming release. Since you also get PluralEyes 2, you have an alternate syncing solution for Premiere Pro, Media Composer, Final Cut Pro 6/7, FCP X, Vegas Pro and EDIUS Pro.

Q: What media formats/codecs does PluralEyes 3 support?
A: PluralEyes supports a broad range of filmmaking workflows including native DSLR, along with other cameras, file formats and codecs. For more information, please visit our Compatibility Page.

Q: Why did I receive PluralEyes 2 and DualEyes with my purchase of PluralEyes 3?
A: For added convenience, we’ve included PluralEyes 2 and DualEyes with your purchase. PluralEyes 2 is the original audio/video syncing tool that plugs into popular non-linear editors. DualEyes is the original standalone application that specializes in syncing dual-system audio recordings. Together, these tools provide full support for Mac, Windows and all editing platforms. This gives syncing flexibility to customers using older Mac operating systems, and Windows customers who are waiting for the free PluralEyes 3 Windows upgrade. Both products can be installed with your PluralEyes 3 serial number.

Q: I own DualEyes. Will there be an update for that product?
A: DualEyes features have been integrated into PluralEyes 3. For this reason, DualEyes will no longer be available as a separate product. However, We will continue to support the original version of DualEyes .  

 
Q: Can I run PluralEyes 2 and PluralEyes 3 side-by-side? I want to try out the demo.
A: Yes, you can run the products side-by-side. Installing a trial of PluralEyes 3 will not deactivate your installation of PluralEyes 2.
