Red Giant Acquires Technology from Singular Software

We are happy to announce that Red Giant has acquired the product portfolio and intellectual property of Singular Software as of July 9, 2012. This partnership is a perfect fit for two companies with a similar vision and culture, and provides an exciting opportunity for Red Giant customers who want professional workflow tools for their audio and video.

The Singular Software product portfolio includes:

  • PluralEyes for automated syncing of audio tracks and multi-camera video.
  • DualEyes for audio replacement for DSLR users.
  • CloudEyes, a set of audio/video synchronization services for developers.
  • Singular Software Presto, a quick, easy way to create professional quality videos of presentations.
  • All intellectual property for the related technology.

The entire Singular Software team is now partnering with Red Giant, which keeps an important continuity in engineering and support. We’re excited. They’re excited. All Singular Software product development will continue full-steam, with PluralEyes 3.0 for Mac scheduled for release in Summer 2012.

“Red Giant is extremely pleased to add Singular Software to our team,” said Sean Safreed, co-founder of Red Giant. “The combination of Singular Software’s cutting-edge, patented audio synchronization technology and a great team of professionals is the perfect match for Red Giant. We will soon deliver PluralEyes®  3.0 to the market. Look for Singular Software’s technology in future Red Giant products.”

"It's a natural fit," said Bruce Sharpe, CEO of Singular Software.  "Red Giant is famous for creating innovative products that delight video and film professionals.  We have strived to do the same, with products that meet complementary needs.  We are thrilled to team up with a company that shares our passion for great products and our commitment to happy customers."

We will integrate the Singular Software portfolio into the Red Giant family of products over the next couple months. Singular Software products will continue to be sold and supported through the Singular Software website until that transition is complete. In Q3 2012, Red Giant will move all sales, customer service and technical support to RedGiant.com.
