• Video Cards

General Information

Some Red Giant products require or use the video card (GPU) for rendering purposes. In general, this is done to accelerate the rendering of effects while delivering the visual identical results. We recommend cards from Nvidia and ATI for graphics rendering. Intel Integrated Graphics processors as found in the Apple Macbook and other notebook systems are specifically Not supported for use with our products.  Most Red Giant products that require a video card for rendering will fall back to CPU rendering when there is no GPU or if the graphics card doesn't meet the product's minimum specs. GPU performance is much better when using a graphics card, and we support a wide variety.

Currently, Knoll Light Factory, Magic Bullet Colorista, Magic Bullet Looks, Magic Bullet PhotoLooks, Magic Bullet Quick Looks and Magic Bullet Quick Looks Limited use the graphics card to accelerate rendering. In the case of Magic Bullet Colorista, PhotoLooks, Quick Looks and Quick Looks Limited, the products require a compatible graphics card or they will not render any output.
