Trapcode Particlar and Form are very similar in many ways. Sometimes, you might even want the organic look of Form with the 3D position control of Particular. We'll discuss how to get detailed control over particle grids to create something organic.

When I parent the Null that the particular solid uses as a emitter location the position no longer actsI wouldit to. I want to control the emittter null with another controller null but not sure of what the right expression would be for the particular solid to follow the xyz postion of the emitter null when it's a child of the controller null. Basically, I'm trying to create a circle and figured rotating the controller null on an axis would be the simplest solution, but running into this problem. I hope there's a quick expression adjustment instead of me busting out the dormant trig skills.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the response, Harry!
Cranking up the particles/sec combined with making my animation longer solved my problem. I was trying to cover quite a bit of ground in 2 seconds. /facepalm. :)

@ Jessica, try increasing the particles per second. I can get that exact same look if I lower my particles to about 200 per second. Try something2,000, or even 10,000 if you want a smooth look.

How are you getting the "ribbon" to looka single entity? I am using the same parameters as you and the only way to get a seamless looking ribbon is to not have it travel very far. Is there something I am missing?
Screencap for your reference:
I tried downloading the preset to poke around but it isn't compatible with CS4 (or so it seems).
Thanks in advance

Luke, maybe downloading a premade project will help. I'll get it posted on and post the link here.
