Hey folks – today we’re kicking off our PluralEyes 3.5 Public Beta (UPDATE: Beta is now closed). PluralEyes is already the fastest and best audio and multi-camera video sync in the industry, and it’s about to get a whole lot better. And we want to give you first crack at it. PluralEyes 3.5 adds support for more media formats, speed improvements, better sync accuracy and other highly-requested enhancements. Here’s the complete list:

  • AVCHD playback (that’s new for Windows) and support for spanned clips (that’s new for both Windows and OS X)
  • Supported media types for Replace Audio now greatly expanded
  • Lots of algorithm improvements result in faster and more accurate syncs.
  • Automatic correction for sync drift (Over time in long videos, sound and video can stop matching up perfectly- this will fix that)

Looks good – right? But we need your help to make it as good as it can be. That means testing and feedback. If you’re up for the challenge, you’re invited to join the public beta so that you can use the new features right away – and let us know if you hit any bumps in the road so we can fix them. DOWNLOAD:

  • Once downloaded, just run the installer like any other. The beta software will run without a serial number and eventually time out –  similar to our other trial software.
  • Don’t worry – you can have previous versions of PluralEyes installed and running on you machine while you also have the PluralEyes 3.5 Beta installed.

PREMIERE PRO USERS: We recommend you download the PluralEyes 3.5 Connector Extension for working between PluralEyes 3.5 & Premiere Pro. This Extension file makes it easy to send your timeline directly from Premiere Pro into PluralEyes, for syncing – if that is your workflow.

  • Get the PluralEyes Beta 3.5 Release notes HERE.
  • Read the PluralEyes 3.5 Connector Installation notes HERE.

FEEDBACK: Your feedback is really important in helping us make PluralEyes 3.5 the best it can be, so we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible. Once you download and install, feedback can be submitted with the following steps: 1. With your project loaded and synced in PluralEyes 3, navigate to: Help > Report a Problem. 2. A window will pop up with the log files as well as a dialogue box where you can include a description of your project as well as any details that would be helpful in solving the issue. 3. After you click ‘Save’, a .zip package containing all the log files will be created on your desktop. 4. To email your report to the support team, please open a support ticket and attach this .zip package to the ticket.

  1. Will this beta version 3.5 mess with my current non-beta version 3.3.3 or can I run both on the same machine?

    1. Clark,

The beta shouldn’t mess with your non-beta version at all. But please note, these 2 versions shouldn’t run at the same time. If you have any troubles, please email into support(at)redgiant(dot)com, our support team would be happy to assist you with any troubles.
      Thank you,

  2. it doesn’t automatically recognize the PL3 serial i already have installed, and doesn’t work when entered. should it be used without a license?

    1. Stone,

Our betas do not require serial numbers. If you are having troubles installing, please fill out a bug report so our beta team can look further into this:

      Thank you,

  3. When Exporting from BulletProof 1.2 using the PluralEyes preset does the in/out and other marking meta data get generated with the export? -If not this would be a big help as not being able to use marked footage places the review back into the NLE for trimming.

Jason – it doesn’t, but thanks to your request, we’re looking into it now. Thanks so much!

  4. Any R3D support yet?

  5. Will the beta work with FCPX 10.12? The regular version of Pluraleyes 3 doesn’t sync right wight he latest version of FCPX, which I didn’t learn until too late after update.

    1. KG,

We’re aware of the issue and are working on fixing it for both 3.3 and 3.5. Currently the beta is yeilding better results when working with 10.1.2 however, it is not officially fixed in either version.
      Thank you for your understanding.

  6. 3.5 Beta does not seem to give me the high memory usage error that I was getting with the prior release (see ticket #26076) when using Canon 5D mk III footage.

  7. If we buy PluralEyes 3 now do we can just update to this 3.5 version as soon as it will be released (without paying some extra fee)? Or do we have to wait until 3.5 is released?

    1. Oliver,

For customer who purchased in the last 30 days they would qualify for the free update. Please note that 3.5 has been released as well!
      I hope this helps.

  8. i want to try the beta but the link does not work. What is going on?

    1. Unfortunately this beta is now closed. I’m sorry for the confusion. We will make sure to update this blog post regarding this information.

  9. Download won’t start. Not for Windows or Mac Version.

    1. Unfortunately this post is from 2014 and this beta is no longer open. We have since released PluralEyes 3.5 and are currently at version 4.
      We appreciate your understanding.
