The Emitter is where particles are born and released from. The Emitter Type sets the shape and functionality of the particle emission.
There are nine Emitter Types:
|Point: All particles are born at the same point.|
|Box: Particles are born within a box. For sake of illustration, Velocity is 0 here.|
|Sphere: Particles are born within a sphere. For sake of illustration, Velocity is 0 here.|
|Grid: Particles are born on a 2D or 3D grid. Read more about Grid Emitter.|
|Light: Particles are born from the lights in the comp. Read about using Light Emitters.|
|Layer: Particles are born from a layer in the comp. Read about using Layer Emitters.|
|Layer Grid: Particles are born from a layer in the comp in the shape of the Grid Emitter. Read about using the Layer Grid.|
|3D Model: Particles are emitted from a 3D Model you've imported into your project. Read about using 3D Models.|
