The Emitter is where particles are born and released from. The Emitter Type is very important because this parameter sets the shape and functionality of the particle emission.
There are eight Emitter Types.
Point All particles are born at the same point.
Box Particles are born within a box. For sake of illustration, Velocity is 0 here.
Sphere Particles are born within a sphere. For sake of illustration, Velocity is 0 here.
Grid Particles are born on a 2D or 3D grid. Read more about Grid Emitter.
Light Particles are born from the lights in the comp. Read about using Light Emitters.
Layer Particles are born from a layer in the comp. Read about using Layer Emitters.
Layer Grid Particles are born from a layer in the comp in the shape of the Grid Emitter. Read about using the Layer Grid.
OBJ Model (New!) Particles are emitted from an OBJ you've imported into your project. Read about using OBJ Models.
